The problem
Wildfires don't issue evacuation orders, and most wildlife sanctuaries don't have the resources — or the time — to relocate dozens of animals when a fire moves their way. Caged enclosures, wolf habitats, raptor sanctuaries, and rehabilitation centers are where animals lose their lives in fires they could have survived.
What we do
Safer Chemistry partners with sanctuaries and conservation groups to install non-toxic wildfire defense systems around vulnerable habitats:
- Defensive perimeters treated with our EPA Safer Choice–certified retardant
- Ember-resistant materials around enclosures and shelters
- Pre-positioned suppression infrastructure that buys minutes when minutes are everything
- On-site fire-readiness assessments before peak season
We work with partners across California whose efforts to protect wolf migration, raptor rehabilitation, and sanctuary populations depend on habitat that survives the fire season.
Defend a habitat.
Sponsor an installation, fund a treatment cycle, or underwrite our partnership with a sanctuary in your region. Every gift maps to a real perimeter on a real piece of land.
